Eturia estimates turnover growth by 35 pct this year up to EUR 11 mln Eturia

The tour-operator Eturia, specialized in exotic holidays, estimates for this year a turnover of EUR 11 million, a growth by 35 percent compared with 2016, said in an interview Sorin Stoica, the co-owner of the company. The tour-operator wants to expand in online field, to increase the sales of holidays at global level. Most of the sales are represented by leisure holiday travels. „One of the factors that determined these figures is the market growth. Then, the investments made in human resources, promotion and new products. Also, we have contracts with hotels and air companies which give us very good preferential tariffs. Moreover, the living Standard increased,” said Stoica. The company wants to focus in the future on online field and become supplier also for other booking systems. „We have a very big hotels portfolio in extra-European destinations. We’ll involve more in the online business, where we’ll expand more than in the offline. We are working on some bold projects to allow us to sell online not only in Romania, but also outside Romania. We want to take over the external market and prepare a smart soft to help us in this respect. Basically, we are targeting the whole world,” said Stoica. Every year Eturia contracts 6,000 flight tickets. Among the company’s clients are also Romanians established in foreign countries, but also foreign citizens who live in Romania. „Our tourists are both people with high incomes, but also Romanians with average incomes, for which travels are a priority,” said Stoica. The destinations with the highest increases are in India, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia, Peru, but also the destinations known for their beaches: Maldive Islands, Mauritius and Dominica Republic. He also estimates that once with the lift of visas for Canada from January 1, 2018, the number of tourists will increase from 20 currently to 200 next year. Sursa: business-review.eu
